Pricing
Normally I sign up for hosting and domains for the customer, then change the billing to them directly once the site is live.
It means they get cheaper hosting rather than requiring me to bill them in any ongoing manner.
If future work or changes after going live are required, I charge a discounted $45 p/h. If I am responsible for any errors or technical issues, I fix them for free.
Our base rate for a full custom website design is only $1500, which accounts for;
- Two consultations, one in the very beginning and one when the site is almost ready to go live. Just to polish and help the client understand the content management.
- A .pdf mock-up of the website to give a basic look and feel. The client is welcome to change aspects of the design or request a redesign once free of charge. After that, all changes to the design are charged at $45ph. Once the mock-up is signed off and OK’d, the website is coded to suit, further changes beyond the original mock-up look are extra.
- Hosting and domains are not part of the quote, this is purely for design and code.
- Content, logos and text can be supplied but if additional images, logos or text are needed to be sourced/created, that is an extra charge.
- A full Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) aimed at google, built into the site including image naming, URLs, title and description creation, H1/2/3/4 usage and page linking in the initial stage. Any required searches are better supplied pre build but I can form SEO based on supplied content and competitor websites.
- The base rate does not include E-Commerce, credit-card transactions SSL or online ordering.
Most websites end up costing between $1600 and $2000 with twelve Months domain and hosting.
